Job Description / Responsibilities: Perform quality assurance testing of product components, application fixes/enhancements and interface issues submitted through the defect tracking system, utilizing the Change Control Process. Create test plans based on analysis of Product Development Specifications, product prototypes and/or viewing product on development server. Plans are created in the QA Test Plan Template format using the QA Test Plan Standards Checklist as a guide. Perform and identify any risk assessment necessary with regard to server environments or other areas that could be affected within the application. Determine and ensure that Start/End dates designated in the Project Tracking List can reasonably be met. Execute test plans in and outside of the Quality Assurance Lab environment in conjunction with the QA Browser/ISP Support Chart. Ensure that developed item(s) meet product specification requirements before and after any scope changes. Provide and maintain thorough documentation of all testing procedures and activities in the defect tracking system. Ensure thorough communication of issue status/completion and product releases to appropriate parties as necessary. Optional Skills: Knowledge of common database functionality (simple queries).
Exposure to SQL, Excel, Quality Assurance Techniques. Excellent written and communication skills.
