Associate Real Estate Analyst

Job Purpose:

Provide analytical and technical support in analyzing and evaluating Portfolio returns, acquisition and disposition alternatives, asset management strategies, investment opportunities, and prospective leases. Requires accuracy and attention to detail; ability to prioritize assignments to meet numerous deadlines.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare detailed financial analysis and reporting for existing portfolio assets. Assist in developing market based discounted cash flow models. Prepare analysis of large tenant leases and their impact on asset value.
  • Research market information to incorporate prudent modeling assumptions with regards to leasing parameters and property market valuations. Credit underwriting of potential tenants. Assist Portfolio and Asset Managers, as needed, to evaluate potential acquisition opportunities.
  • Execute leasing and marketing strategy at the property level. Approve and manage capital projects expenses at the property level.
  • Responsible for reviewing and coordinating monthly property reports, quarterly investor reports, quarterly cash reforecast reports, quarterly portfolio performance metrics summary, etc.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of presentations and reports for various investment entities. Enhance and maintain client-specific spreadsheets and reports as needed. Assist Portfolio and Asset Managers to foster strong investor relationships.
  • Conduct Excel based reporting and financial analyses, Argus discounted cash flow modeling, and assist in the analysis, selection and training of alternative cash flow software products and spreadsheets.
  • Interact with property managers, leasing brokers, legal & accounting department, and various external contacts.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Some limited travel may be required.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance or Accounting
    • Experience with Financial Analysis
