Duties and Responsibilities:|
Exclusive Brands items:
Assist with designing a step by step Exclusive Brands process for Canada
Execute Exclusive Brands (EB) programs as directed by leadership
Review existing product mix/categories
Source items developed exclusively for WFM BC or ONT
Monitor EB product sales in Canada and work with Distribution Centers (Horizon and Olympic) and vendors, to determine appropriate order quantities of decals and product with dedicated printed packaging (review /approve all print re-orders). This includes determining and monitoring current on-hand quantities of bilingual product decals to minimize overages.
Track product and packaging changes to US Exclusive Brand products and determine if change must also be completed on bilingual packaging or decal for product sold in Canada.
Create and maintain one master list of EB products sold in Canada on Sharepoint Site or somewhere with shared access.
Coordinate new item process with Exclusive Brands team
Coordinate exit strategy process with the EB Team for discontinued items
Liaise with all Teams regarding EB items
Bridge communication between stores and distributors
weekly inventory reports
projections for off shelf displays
Weekly or bi weekly written “EB Canada Update “ to stores
include store movement reports
Coordinate and develop with the Canadian Team a promotional calendar for the EB items
Monthly off shelf displays, seasonal. Whole Deal, etc.
Communicate and/or follow up with distributors on the EB products on promotion
Manage Logistics with various Exclusive Brands distributors
Ensure NAFTA information correct on imported product
Ensure duty and tax accuracy for imported items into distributors
Provide suppliers with monthly reports for inventory and store sales
Work with distributors to manage EB skus
inventory and timing for new item launches
EB sku spaces/logistics
Weekly inventory & fill rate reports
Utilize connection between UNFI USA and Canadian Distributors
Review product crossing the border is legal and that final cost of goods reflects any hidden import fees
Manage NAFTA/CFIA clearance process for all items being imported (All Teams)
Work with each team to insure they are aware of all import costs that are additional to manufacturers price
Manage return of product to USA in the event of mis-ship/guaranteed sales etc
Optimize logistics costs
WFM Global Programs: Investigate impact of global programs on Canadian operators, e.g.
Canadian Documentation: Insure files are maintained for any Canadian (national) records required
Seafood license details / renewals
Ensure that packaging changes made in the US are reflected in the Canadian skus.
Manage all of the different versions of the labels and decals.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Preferred (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
- Strong understanding of supply/demand and general understanding of retail environment including working knowledge of inventory management, and retail replenishment.
- Self-starter with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Highly organized and able to successfully manage many project deadlines at once in a fast paced and fluid working environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- 3-4 years Project Management experience.
- Will require travel: 10%
Essential Job Functions:
- Has worked with WFM programs such as People Soft, IRMA, Blue Sky, Prodika, etc.
- 3-4 years Retail and/or retail purchasing , transportation or logistics
- College degree. (4 year degree)
Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
