Key Position Responsibilities:
The main focus of this position is to support the development and delivery of learning solutions for HR Career & Learning.

Duties include:Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing all functions related to the implementation of HR C&L learning solutions including instructor-led training, eLearning, WebEx sessions, intact team requests, new hire orientation, special training events and projects derived from business need/executive sponsorship.

The responsibilities include:
  • Supervises, oversees and ensures completion and deliver of all HRC&L curriculum
  • Provides input on design and development of all new HRC&L course implementations and revisions to determine methods and procedures on new offerings
  • Works independently and takes the lead with vendors to negotiate costs, schedule or reschedule class offerings, determine frequency
  • Analyzes enrollment and emerging trends to make decisions as needed when to schedule, postpone or cancel offerings
  • Identifies needs/gaps in existing courseware and recommend solutions that will meet the ongoing/changing demand of the customers
  • Leads and makes decision regarding HR function for CHRIS - LSO - determining requirements and mapping existing courses to new CHRIS environment; including data migration
  • Takes the lead to create consistency, quality, and professionalism of information in the LSO by partnering with colleagues in posting website content
  • Creates written marketing and communication support for C&L courses (i.e., course descriptions, promotional materials, catalogue, etc.)
  • Maintains Electronic Data Management Systems (google plus/google docs/GenepoolWiki/CHRIS LSO) for HRC&L
  • Represents HRC&L at other internal training group's learning events
  • Analyzes and identifies gaps in existing training materials and delivery methods
  • Manages, analyzes and reports course evaluation results and overall themes as needed. Applies training evaluation models and strategies when creating online evaluations as well as other evaluation and assessment tools
  • Facilitates instructor led training (i.e. New Hire Orientation)
  • Leads reporting efforts to support Roche sustainability report, custom enrollment/completion reports, great place to work submission, Working Mother, quarter and yearend C&L report, etc.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Leads multiple projects, including managing and coordinating deliverables and project timelines in partnership with vendors, program managers, and subject matter experts
  • Manages vendor communications
  • Provide guidance and training to contractors as needed
  • Negotiates vendor contracts - including costs, workflow agreement, accommodation bookings, wholesale suppliers
  • Prepares and routes of Fee for Service Agreements, Statement Of Works, vendor contractual agreements, PrO Unlimited employee management, security clearance, invoicing and payment requests
  • Researches and recommends cost-saving process improvements
  • Performs System Administrator functions within the LSO as it relates to open enrollment, scheduling, monitoring trends and reporting statistics
  • Acts as primary decision maker during off-hours for special circumstances in order to avoid any disruption in scheduled training
  • Prepares surveys, reports, presentations, evaluations and cost summaries as they relate to and serve our learning solutions
  • Acts as liaison to educate Genentech satellite locations (OCN, VV, HFF, Nutley, Singapore) of best practices for course delivery
  • Develops, implements and monitor internal/departmental standard operating procedures as they relate to the coordination and implementation of learning solutions; make recommendations for continuous improvements
  • Supervises, trains & monitors work of contractors as needed
  • Represents Learning & Development Operations team cross-functionally and externally as a SME or in regards to a process-sharing roll Who You Are
BS in Business Administration, Instructional Design or 5-7 years of experience in related discipline
  • 2-4 years previous experience in project management and/or coordinating logistics for Learning & Development department or similar functions
  • Ability to perform work under limited direction, guidance and supervision
  • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to set up, support and conduct virtual learning sessions using WebEx or related technologies
  • The ability to organize, prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects with various scopes simultaneously
  • Excellent workflow process and project management skills with the ability to set up and maintain airtight systems for tracking actions, communications and details
  • An established ability to make sound decisions on behalf of group or team
  • Excellent focus on customer service with a strong attention to detail while being organizational savvy
  • Capable of creating and following a project plan through completion with minimal or no direction with strong personal initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent influencing skills with the ability to collect data, establish facts and present them to key stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations to large audiences in a clear and concise manner
  • High degree of customer focused sensitivity towards both internal and external customers and business partners
  • Creates innovative solutions to solve problems
  • Strong ability and proficiency with both Windows and Macintosh platforms, Microsoft Office suite, Google business applications; HR system software and/or SAP experience desired
