Associate, Asset Management will be reporting to the Director, Asset Management and will be responsible for managing a variety of functions as part of the asset management team. Areas of responsibility will include managing and directing the Analysts, budgeting and forecasting, portfolio and expense analysis; in addition to tracking and managing the execution of property level strategic plans (i.e. capital expenditures, QAR’s, ), tracking tenant financial and recent news, energy modeling, lease tracking, etc..
Assists with the successful development and execution of asset management plan and strategy for assigned properties including business plans, budgets, forecasts and leasing. Completes financial analysis for all aspects of Companies’ properties and portfolio, including evaluation of property and portfolio expenses, capital, redevelopment and development opportunities. Establishes and maintains relationships with all personnel within internal departments which directly impact property performance. Prepares or manages the preparation of all financial reports, analyses and documents as designated by the Executive Vice President, Asset Management. Prepares labor modeling as a means to allocate engineering labor. Prepares or oversees energy modeling and tenant analysis. Manages and directs the activities of the Analysts. Additional duties as may be determined by Operations, Real Estate Legal and Senior Management.
Minimum of five years in progressive finance positions with corporate finance, asset management and/or real estate finance required. A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required; MBA, CFA, or CPA strongly preferred. Investment banking and/or prior commercial real estate or REIT experiences a plus. Flexible, with the ability to handle diverse tasks with short deadlines. Proven leadership, management and organizational skills with a track record of results. Must be organized, computer literate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Significant financial modeling experience required. Familiarity with Argus a plus.
