We are seeking an associate to join our Toledo office. As an associate, you will be responsible for performing a variety of client assignments across a broad spectrum of industries and service areas. You’ll utilize your accounting educational background and internship experience to provide excellent client service and help our clients reach their goals. You’ll adapt quickly to our systems and methodologies and will develop your problem solving and research skills to work independently as you grow. We provide our associates with exposure to both tax and assurance work to ensure your career is dynamic and provides you and our clients with a holistic view.
An associate working in the area of tax will prepare multiple tax returns on time and within budget, while identifying and researching issues and communicating progress. Your drive and determination to succeed will lead to opportunities to take on additional responsibility in planning and client communications. In this role, we are looking for your interest in projects in areas such as cost segregation, R&D, fixed assets, and repairs and maintenance. Your ability to develop a deep understanding of our client’s business processes and issues will be critical to your success in this role. As an associate working in the area of assurance you will be given the opportunity to perform audits, reviews, compilations and other assurance services for clients. During your first year, you will perform audit procedures at clients’ offices, with training and supervision of the CLA audit team. You will request and obtain information from clients as well as perform analytical reviews to analyze financial accounts and trends. Associates work with a variety of managers, senior managers and partners on assigned projects.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (150 credits) and/or Master’s of Accountancy required with exposure to accounting via job experience or internship preferred. Minimum GPA 3.0. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to learn new technology quickly and experience using Excel. Demonstrated drive and desire to achieve success.
