Lancaster Pollard is a niche investment banking and mortgage lending firm offering a full range of real estate-based, capital funding services directed towards the senior living, healthcare and affordable housing sectors. Lancaster Pollard is seeking an Associate to perform the analytical and underwriting functions within specific transactions undertaken by the firm. The position would involve analyzing, structuring, negotiating and funding debt offerings for our clients. Associates are typically exposed to all sectors served by the firm with opportunities to specialize as well. The position is based in the Columbus, Ohio headquarters office but there may be future opportunities for relocation to one of the regional offices located in Atlanta, Austin, Kansas City, Philadelphia and Los Angeles. The typical career path for an Associate would be to move into either a business development (banker) role or into an underwriting/management role.

Major Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Evaluation of property level and parent company financial statements
  • Assessment of real estate attributes to proposed project or collateral for financing
  • Analysis of credit characteristics specific to the sectors served
  • Clear presentation of credit profile in written request package
  • Preparation of FHA/USDA/Fannie Mae loan applications
  • Interaction with clients, agencies and other funding participants
  • Review and negotiation of legal documents
  • Coordination of the closing process

Education :
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, real estate, or related field required
  • Master’s degree in similar fields strongly preferred
Experience :
  • Formal education or work experience in senior living, healthcare and/or affordable housing sectors strongly preferred
  • FINRA Series 52 and/or 79 desirable
FLSA Status : Exempt

Salary : Compensation is commensurate with experience.
