Provides effective leadership and coordination of a team of Directors who oversee undergraduate recruiting, admissions, registrar, and financial aid. Develops and implements the enrollment management plan, in support of the mission and goals of the university. Works collaboratively with other departments to enhance retention and lifelong learning initiatives; provides vision and leadership to mobilize faculty, students, staff, and external groups to increase recruitment and retention of a diverse student body. Develops and implements strategies to reach institutional enrollment goals; serves as an advisor to the Executive Leadership on all enrollment management matters. Provides current information on departments, schools, and colleges enrollment/retention goals and progress; supervises, evaluates, empowers and maintains a strong team to accomplish goals and objectives. Facilitates the use of current emerging technologies that support a state of the art database system of record keeping; performs other duties as assigned. Earned graduate degree required, with a minimum of five (5) years administrative experience in higher education such as the director or department head level or equivalent. The successful candidate will demonstrate proven leadership, management and interpersonal skills; experience in enrollment management with a demonstrated record of success in achieving enrollment goals; excellent communication skills, written and verbal; extensive knowledge and understanding of national trends and strategies for success in student recruitment and retention; experience with assessment and strategic planning; strong skills in data driven analysis and decision-making; understanding of enrollment management and emerging trends; experience in marketing and promulgations of strategies for communication with contemporary college students; and ability to develop integrated marketing strategies in cooperation with other university constituents. Experience or familiarity with Ellucian Banner ERP (or similar) and other pertinent software desired. Background and/or credit check may be required.
