This position is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment and systems used in Distance Learning classrooms and video studios. This position is also responsible for diagnostics of broadcast equipment/system problems, and maintaining quality assurance for live and field production events.
Demonstrated working knowledge of professional audio and video systems to include broadcast or production studio equipment and/or post-production equipment and systems. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated proofreading skills and the ability to pay attention to details. Demonstrated ability to lead and direct the work of others on a project. Demonstrated ability to record and analyze data, processes and technical methodologies.
Crestron or AMX programming experience. Experience working in a classroom studio or video conference room. Experience in a higher education setting to include knowledge of distance learning program concepts, student support and policies and procedures governing Commonwealth of Virginia universities and colleges.
Working hours may vary due to projects or emergency repairs; therefore, occasional evening and weekends may be required. Occasional travel may also be required.
