Assists with production and maintenance of audio/visual materials used to promote the County, inform citizens and train County personnel. Manages task that includes design and display materials such as photographs, illustrations, diagrams/charts/graphs, models and slides to be used in newspapers, pamphlets, exhibits, live and or recorded speeches and other means of communicating for assigned department.
Videotapes regular meetings of the Board of Commissioners for live and tape cablecast, including equipment setup, taping and editing.
Keeps an archive of tapings of the Board of Commissioners meetings.
Produces video projects which includes planning, video shooting and editing/narration.
Updates cable channel reader board which includes job listings, bids, County announcements, and public service announcements.
Provides audio/visual assistance to County departments.
Records cable complaints.
Updates cable programs logs and programs automated cable casting equipment.
Performs routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoots technical problems.
Prepares activity reports.
Records and provides DVD copy of news coverage concerning the department.
Shoots and edits DCTV public service announcements and news stories about assigned department.
Maintains and updates department website.
High school diploma or GED; vocational/technical training in broadcasting, video production or a related field; one year of experience in audio/visual production or a related field. A combination of training and experience above the minimum requirements will be considered.
