Position Summary: The Audit Technician is responsible for the complete audit process of receiving computer enterprise hardware equipment that meets WDPI standards for safety, security, and productivity. This person will primarily support the lead technician teams by inspecting and testing all incoming equipment and completing breakdowns of equipment in order to achieve department goals. This position reports to the Inbound Warehouse Supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Receive and categorize all incoming server, storage and network equipment and parts into inventory system according to company standards.Inspect, test, audit and clear configurations from incoming equipment.Conduct breakdown of equipment per sales orders. Communicate purchase order problems with internal customers (sales reps, sales brokers, lead techs and/or sales support) and Supervisor. Prepare hardware equipment for processing, including cleaning, bagging and tagging. Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Work with Operations team members to ensure department goals are met/exceeded.Maintain a high level of accuracy as it relates to company standards.Provide input and feedback on department process and procedure improvements.Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with WDPI's Safety Standards.Assist in shipping, receiving and general warehouse areas as requested by Supervisor. Attend team/company meetings and trainings. Essential Qualifications: Associate's degree in Networking, Computers or Electronics or a High school diploma/equivalency with 1+ year of computer hardware/software related experience and CompTIA A+ Certification. Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.Strong attention to details and organizational skills.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/orders independently with precise detail and follow-through. Excellent customer service skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.Ability to enter data into an ERP system. Desired Qualifications: Experience working with Sun, Cisco, IBM, HP, Compaq or Dell servers, storage and/or network hardware preferred. Physical Job Requirements: Ability to reach with arms and hands, stoop, kneel, bend, twist and crouch to inspect test equipment.Ability to lift 40 lbs. frequently to lift equipment.Ability to read and comprehend work-related information.Ability to take work direction. Work Environment: Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week schedule during the hours of Monday-Friday 8:00 am 6:30 pm.Ability to work overtime as required by business needs. Ability to work in an ambient warehouse environment.Ability to work productively with frequent distractions/interruptions.Ability to work effectively with others in a team-oriented workplace.Noise level: moderate. Occasionally loud.
