Quality Assurance Auditor

Reports to: Manager of Quality Assurance and Inspection

Duties and responsibilities shall include, but not limited to, the following:
  • Ensure that required audits are performed per GMM
  • Review audit forms and revise as necessary to maintain compliance with CASE procedures
  • Develop reports including audit results, defining severity of results and corrective action and follow up
  • Report trends or concerns to the Lead Auditor
  • Perform internal audits per the requirements of the GMM and I.A.W; the Chautauqua Quality Handbook
  • Perform on-site audits of Part 145 Repair Stations and maintain the Approved Vendor List
  • Perform on-site audits of Fuel Vendors and maintain the Approved Vendor List
  • Perform on-site of On-Call Maintenance Providers and Contract Maintenance Providers and maintain the Approved Vendor List
  • Special projects as assigned by the Manager, Quality Assurance
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:
  • Has a technical background
  • Has previous experience in Quality Assurance programs
  • Has previous experience in auditing vendor Quality Assurance and Maintenance procedures
  • Has the ability to make sound decisions based on experience
  • A team player willing to learn and contribute
  • Understand Company procedures and policies
  • Solid computer skills including MS Office required
  • This position requires an individual with strong communication, negotiation, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members
  • Stable employment history
  • Must be familiar with and be able to read and understand Company and Manufacturing Manuals
  • Strong knowledge of Company policies and operations
  • Strong knowledge of CASE, IOSA and DoD requirements as the pertain to Part 121 operations
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations
  • Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate, 5 years of longer preferred
  • Previous training or experience in Aviation Quality Assurance 3 years or longer preferred
  • Must work well under pressure and have the ability to coordinate multiple priories and meet deadlines
  • Candidate must have an extremely high level of attention to detail
  • Travel up to 40% of the time or more
  • Candidate must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving records that will pass the criteria set by our insurance carrier for on the job coverage
