Cablevision Division Cable and Communications Corporate Department Name Bill and Collect-C&C Corp Job Location NY / Bethpage Requisition ID 20000BR Position Type Full Time Description The Auditor examines and analyzes operational records, transactional activities, and the adherence to compliance requirements for the Billing & Collections (B&C) and Optimum Store organization. Assists in identifying business process risks that require corrective action and internal control/process improvements. Responsible for ensuring that department heads and their respective employees understand compliance standards and auditing requirements. Prepares reports and recommendations for management concerning scope of audits, operational conditions found, and the source and application of standards. This includes collecting, synthesizing, and interpreting B&C business, operational, and financial data. Acts as a liaison to the Internal Audit Department and B&C Management ensuring that recommendations and/or remediations are appropriate and implemented. Frequent travel to various B&C and Optimum Store locations is required.


1. Conduct risk assessments within various C&C and Optimum West departments under the B&C organization within an established timeline
2. Establish and review risk-based internal audit assessments
3. Determine the scope of audits and/or reviews in conjunction with B&C Management
4. Conduct audit testing of operational and transactional activities across B&C; identify reportable issues and dimensions of risks
5. Assist in the audit planning process
6. Determine compliance with policies and procedures
7. Verbally communicate findings to B&C Management and compile comprehensive and complete reports of areas audited
8. Assist in addressing follow-up on items requiring remediation
9. Execute routine site visits to observe procedures carried out at Optimum Stores and other areas of the B&C organization
10. Examine data and identify action items to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
11. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 1. B.A./B.S. Finance and/or related educational and/or work experience required
2. Three to five years experience in internal audit and/or compliance activities required
3. Strong financial and internal control background, familiarity with generally accepted auditing standards and accounting principles
4. Ability to travel frequently to various B&C and Optimum Store locations throughout the New York Metropolitan Area; and sometimes travel to Optimum West locations in four Western states
5. Strong analytical and technical skills
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint; Knowledge of Oracle, MS Access and/or GroupWise a plus
7. Flexibility, a sense of accountability, high energy, strong work ethic, a team player
8. Excellent written and oral communications skills
9. Ability to think critically, identify, and raise issues
10. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with management on all levels
11. Demonstrated interest or experience in the media and telecommunications industry desired
