Reporting to the Senior Audit Manager, the Auditor assists in performing complex operational, financial and compliance audits of the University while maintaining all organizational and professional ethical standards. Specific responsibilities of the Auditor include, but are not limited to: prepare standard work papers such as the Audit Planning Memorandum and other work paper templates; prepare work papers showing results of the audit assignment in accordance with departmental standards; discuss and resolve exceptions with the audit lead and auditee line management for presentation to the Director; track progress of all work and provide the Senior Audit Manager with initial drafts of proposed findings and recommendations; conclude work on a timely basis and in accordance with audit plans; assist in development of the audit plan and risk assessment process for both the Morningside and Medical Center campuses; assist in follow-up on audit issues; other related duties and special projects as assigned by the Senior Audit Management Team.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Bachelor's degree in information systems, auditing, accounting, business, public administration or its equivalent and at least three (3) years experience in internal auditing or other related business experience required. CIA required, or must obtain within 18 months of assuming role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Must be able to demonstrate excellent analytical, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including active listening skills, and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the risk and controls inherent in technology. In addition, the successful candidate must be able to work well with all levels of employees, be flexible in nature, have sound judgment with an open and collaborative style that encourages teamwork and cooperation beyond the immediate team to the broader organization. Must have a passion for excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Thompson Reuters Accelus, automatic work papers, or ACL a plus.
