The Auditor is responsible for performing Company-wide financial, operational, and compliance audits. The Auditor will document procedures, test internal controls, communicate results, and recommend internal control changes.
The Auditor is a resource dedicated to assisting the Director of Internal Audit in performing audits of the Company’s internal control systems and playing a key role in Company-wide risk assessment and monitoring. The Auditor is responsible for executing assignments as directed and providing recommendations for improvements to management. The nature of the duties requires the incumbent to effectively explain and discuss internal control matters and financial issues with non-financial management and staff.
Duties include: · Assisting to plan audit projects and develop audit programs· Following established audit methodologies and work programs· Maintaining awareness of Company policies and procedures, business process risks, and mitigating internal control procedures· Identifying opportunities for internal control improvement and making recommendations to implement improvements· Supporting external auditors to complete their annual financial auditParticipating in opportunities to improve Internal Audit department processes and procedures
Mandatory Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant field with 1-3 years experience in accounting, auditing or business process improvement. Ability to travel 15-25 percent both internationally and domestically.
Non-Mandatory Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree, CPA, or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). Minimum of two years experience in public accounting, preferably with a “Big 4” firm. Financial or operational experience in a manufacturing company, international work experience, and knowledge of SAP and/or Hyperion are preferred.
