The candidate should want to pursue IT Auditing or IT Security as a career path. The candidate should also be interested in pursuing a certification in one of the following: CISA, CISM, CIA, CFE. The candidate would be working for the Internal Audit department. Below are the characteristics that we’re looking for in a candidate:
The Internal IT Auditor collects and tests appropriate samples; interviews audit stakeholders; and assesses regulatory compliance. Probative interviewing of all key IT staff and review of all documentation is necessary. The Internal IT Auditor reviews evidence and generates reports on audit results. Findings are revealed and brought to the attention of internal management.
The Internal IT Auditor must have the ability to interact with all levels of IT staff. This individual regularly interacts with all levels of Team Members in departments under audit. Advanced grammar and report writing skills are also necessary. Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills are necessary (including Visio, Project, and Access). In addition, working knowledge of Cognos and the TeamMate audit management software are necessary.
The Internal IT Auditor audits Information Technology systems and processes using knowledge and experience of said systems.
The Internal IT Auditor may be assigned to special projects of an operational nature including report writing and analysis (using Cognos). Projects could be assigned as a team or individual.
Must have reliable transportation to travel to various locations within the Las Vegas Valley.
