We are currently seeking talented Auto Examiner for our Colorado Springs, CO facility.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Investigates, evaluates, negotiates and adjusts complex auto claims presented by or against our insured's to confirm coverage, determine legal liability and equitably settle/defend in compliance with all state regulatory requirements. Completes work assignments and problem resolution independently. Recognizes life events, understands member's needs and provides advice in order to deliver appropriate solutions to members.
Provides AUTO/CASUALTY claims service via internal channels (phone/email/fax/mail/other electronic channels) to members and
Adjusts complex auto claims. Severity of claims work includes demonstrable losses involving surgery, scarring, fatality, and UIM.
Acquires and applies expert knowledge of P&C insurance industry products, services, and processes to include P&C insurance policy
contracts and coverages, and USAA claim handling process and procedures.
Serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a unique nature.
Partners and/or directs vendors and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution.
Contributes to business goals, performance metrics and effectively uses tools & technology.
Supports workload surges and/or Catastrophe operations as needed to include working significant overtime during designated CATs.
High School Diploma or GED.
6+ years auto liability or casualty adjusting experience.
Advanced knowledge of auto claims contracts and interpretation of case law.
Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjusters license within designated number of attempts.
Computer literate in a Windows operating environment.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at computer.
Able to work in phone intensive environment wearing a headset.
Pursuit of insurance designation(s) to include completion of same.
Demonstrated leadership experience.
Strong & proven negotiation skills.
Experience with teamwork & collaboration.
