Basic Purpose and Function:
Solicits new business and maintains current business levels in order to achieve or exceed sales production goals and deliver customer service in line with the Retail Value Proposition.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Displays a thorough and consistent pattern of understanding and demonstrating the Retail Value Proposition through the defined behaviors (Care, Choice, and Communication). Lives our company values and delivers world-class service.
Increases new business by initiating contact with prospects through local store marketing efforts, community involvement, cold-calling (face-to-face and phone), quote calls, and walk-ins to build interest, match needs with products and services, and close the sale to meet the agreed upon production goals.
Expands business by proactively building relationships with existing customers (renewing policies, assisting them with alternatives in the event they have cancelled a policy, and selling new products) to meet the agreed upon production goals.
Possesses the appropriate state insurance license for this role to sell our product offerings.
Understands, supports, and implements local marketing.
Possesses a 2- or 4-year college degree or equivalent.
Demonstrates well-developed computer skills (internet, email, word processing, spreadsheets, hardware, keyboarding).
Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
Possesses the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, clients, customers, and the general public.
Being bilingual in English and a second language may be required for the area.
Has an entrepreneurial spirit and takes pride and a feeling of ownership of the store and the business as a whole.
Demonstrates the desired behaviors associated with Care, Choice, and Communication.
Possesses strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
