Headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois, GLDD has more than 200 pieces of dredging equipment located strategically throughout North America and in various locations throughout the world. We are currently seeing an AutoCAD Technician/Quantities Takeoff to join our team. Ideal candidates for this position will have the ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D and other related computer software and equipment and a basic understanding of computer hardware and software.

Responsibilities
  • Create surface from digital data (import and create points) in Civil 3D
  • Create all base files for project to ensure that each drawing is drawn accurately and consistently
  • Create typical sections
  • Perform quantity take offs (QTO)
  • Perform research for plans/standards/historical data or other records and documents to support design functions or technical reviews
Requirements
  • 2 year degree required; 4 year degree preferred
  • 1-3 years experience working in similar capacity
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 or higher
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of design standards and calculation templates
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and drafting standards
  • Strong attention to detail
