Responsible for technical duties in support of space planning and management. Will update and maintain AutoCAD drawings for School of Medicine(SOM) buildings through the current University system. Conduct field surveys to collect and update various levels of space information through Access Database. Assist with preparing baseline analysis of current and projected space assignments and utilization as needed by importing and/or exporting data. Participate with departmental moves through preparation of room layouts and furniture placement. Support Project Managers on various renovation projects and perform other duties to support Facility Planning & Operations team members. Maintain the Office of Facility Planning website and SharePoint site.
Some duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, correlating space database with building drawings. Provide AutoCAD services to the department. Will implement and maintain the database of space information and create reports in Access.
The ideal candidate should have strong time management skills, along with the ability to function in a team environment. Ability to import and export large amounts of data and sort as needed. Ability to create and maintain various spreadsheets as needed. Knowledge and training in website maintenance. Concrete 5 experience a plus.
Required: Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution in CAD/Architectural drafting; or equivalent technical or vocational training; or High School Diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years related experience of AutoCAD/database related experience.
Must be proficient in AutoCAD with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and Adobe. Understanding of construction principles, methods and technique preferred, but not required.
