Function: Maintenance Pay Type: Non-Exempt Position Number: 11056069 Automation Technician Trainer 7 Employee Type: Full Time Relocation: No SUMMARY: The position is responsible for the following: perform high-level machine and systems troubleshooting and repair; assist engineering and plant staff with the specification, installation and modification of integrated systems; provide technical support for all phases of the operation; assist in the development and training of electricians to the level of Electrical Technician or Automation Technician. This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters including electricity and electronics, fluid power, mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
Education: Training beyond high school including either Associates in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (or closely related technical field), or a combination of education and experience which may include skilled trades programs or military training. Experience: Minimum of 4 years training experience and/or industrial maintenance experience. Computer Skills: Competent in Windows-based software such as Microsoft Excel and Word; strong skills in document organization, the use of technical materials, and research techniques; must be either proficient or become proficientin SAP Maintenance or existing CMMS. Communication Skills: Must be able to read manuals and materials and communicate both verbally and in writing with supervisors, coworkers and others due to the requirements of the job and potential safety hazards. Certification: Certifications in any technical topics or techniques is a plus. Special Skills: Preferred mathematics skills to include technical applications in algebra, trigonometry, and geometry; good Interpersonal skills andthe ability to develop Team Members in to competent ET or AT positions; strong interpersonal skills; critical thinking and problem solving skills; ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of management and operations personnel. Supervisory: None Travel: Minimum of 1-5 trips per year outside of assigned location. Position-Specific Requirements This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility, therefore, they will be considered for the opening first. If none of those team members are selected then other team members from other locations will be given consideration.
