Job Summary:
The Collision Production Manager is responsible for writing body shop damage estimates, negotiating with insurance adjusters, completing billing and other shop related activities in the absence of the Body Shop Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
o Break down estimates into labor and parts before job is started so technicians are aware of time allowances
o Follow up with Parts Department to ensure availability of ordered parts
o Revise and approve time allowances of each job
o Assist with quality check of completed jobs
o Prepare final billing for completed repair orders
o Assist Body Shop Manager with the daily activities of the center including: communications with technicians, painters, insurance company representatives, parts wholesalers, other departments with-in the dealership and customers
o Estimate writing, repair selling, job scheduling, completion date notification, repair order billing, filing, answering phones, supplement authorization and follow-up, weekly payroll and Quality Control maintenance
o Maintain organization of body shop tools and proper equipment function
o Ensure adequate materials and paint supplies are available for production
o Follow federal, state and local regulations governing the disposal of hazardous wastes
o Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers
o Adheres to all Company policies, procedures and safety standards

Required Experience

o Must meet company's requirements for employment
o Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
o Three years of experience in a dealership position (preferred)
o General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations
o ASE certification (preferred)
o I-Car certification (preferred)
o Sales experience (preferred)

o Professional appearance
o Excellent oral and written communication skills
o Experience providing quality customer service
o Must have a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
o Ability to operate an automobile
o Exposure to inclement weather
o Prolonged periods of standing
o Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
