Description of Position:
Provides multi-channel recruiting support (advertising, pre-screening, candidate referral, sourcing, and job posting) for all assigned dealership locations under the Western Region. The Market Recruiter is responsible for implementing local recruiting strategies, programs, and overall recruitment image which will generate candidates to meet the needs of the assigned local market. This is an exempt position.
This position will report directly to the HR Director and will be assigned to support a specific Market President. The primary interface will be with the assigned MP and his dealerships and Region Recruiting and HR team. The field Recruiter will interact with the HRD, HR partners and line management serving as the focal point for the implementation of staffing strategies, programs, and overall recruitment image.
o Under leadership of the HRD, works with dealership management teams to develop and execute recruitment and staffing strategies. Collaborates with MPs, GMs, hiring managers, and HRD to develop creative sourcing solutions.
o Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.
o Develop a thorough understanding of the dealership/department culture and uses that understanding to ensure the fit of the candidate to the dealership/position.
o Maintains a network of sourcing contacts such as military sources, associations, colleges, and vocational schools.
o Pre-screen applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills.
o Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and appropriate state statutes.
o Maintain current knowledge of AutoNation policies and procedures pertinent to employment and hiring including Business Ethics Program, Adjudication Guidelines, and Drug Free Workplace program.
o Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting sources, advertising, promotions, cold calls, media, and associate referrals.
o Track open requisitions in the applicant tracking system to move them to closure. Regularly reports recruiting issues/activities to RM and the stores.
o Contact applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration, and selection.
o Screen and refer applicants to hiring personnel in the organization, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.
o Participate in national, regional and local job fairs and events that promote employment opportunities with the company.
o Coordinate and staff in-store career open houses and market-wide career fairs.
o 1-2 years recruiting-related experience.
o In-depth understanding of recruiting processes and HR-related regulations.
o Ability to protect confidential information.
o Ability to perform in a fast paced and flexible environment.
o Highly organized, with ability to manage multiple tasks and a large number of open requisitions simultaneously.
o Working knowledge of MS office software - MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Office.
o Strong communication and presentation skills.
o Customer service focused.
o HR recruiting experience or generalist experience with a strong emphasis on recruiting in a multi-unit retail or automotive environment
o B-lingual (English/Spanish) if dictated by market Education
o Bachelor's Degree
