The Auxiliary Services Assistant serves as the assistant to the Sr. Director of Auxiliary Services, providing support on projects and department initiatives. Auxiliary services oversees the Conference and Event Center, Champlain branded merchandise at the Catamount store, custodial services, vending, dining services and the bookstore. This assistant will help track expenses and project progress, produce updates for the office newsletter and web site, research measurements and benchmarks, create and submit requisitions and track the budget, set up meetings, reconcile merchandise inventory and market merchandise to the campus. The assistant will work to support activities with vendors, put in work orders, conduct research on new projects, facilitate parking leases and do cleaning inspections.
Candidates will need to have experience in a support position and willingness to jump into any project, offer support, and work independently. Have knowledge of MS Office and aptitude to learn software such as MS Publisher. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are essential to work with customers, vendors, employees and students. Must have a team attitude.
