OT Training Solutions is currently seeking qualified instructors to provide non-native speaker Basic and Aviation English Language Training (ELT) Services for various locations throughout Afghanistan to support the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) and to train/instruct local national English language instructors. This training will enable key ANSF personnel to communicate more effectively with Coalition Forces and to perform their job-related duties in which the use of English is required. This program is designed to support English based higher level military education and training to the ANSF. This contract is expected to reduce the time that ANSF personnel spend on out-of-country intensive ELT courses at the Defense Language Institute English Language Center (DLIELC) and other international language training centers. The course curriculum is primarily derived from the American Language Course (ALC) promulgated by the Defense Language Institute English Language enter (DLIELC), Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio Texas.
Training is conducted six (6) days per week for up to ten (10) hours per day.
Provide non-native speaker Basic and
Aviation English Language Training (ELT) Services at various locations throughout Afghanistan to ANSF personnel and train/instruct local national English language instructors. Teach aviation related English for the understanding and application of aviation terminology to selected military pilots, flight engineers, maintenance crews and other aviation-related career fields. The instructors will teach Levels 1 through 6 of ELT Program of Instruction (POI) and lesson plans that will reinforce this training. They will also teach aviation English to Afghan pilots, flight engineers, maintenance crews and other aviation-related personnel to achieve ICAO Level 4 proficiency.
*Native English speaker.
*Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience in English as a Second Language (ESL) or English as a Foreign Language (EFL), or Masters degree in one of these fields.
*Familiarity with the Defense Language Institute curriculum for the American Language Course is desired.
*Aviation English teachers must have familiarity with the International Civilian Aviation Organization (ICAO) English proficiency rating system with one (1) year experience in delivering aviation-related English training.
*US Citizenship and US DOD Secret clearance required.
*Bachelors degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), English, Linguistics or related degree.
