HCA's global oncology service line, Sarah Cannon, has an immediate need for an Area Vice President of Quality in Nashville, TN. The AVP of Quality strategically plans, organizes, and leads an integrated-program for Oncology Services Division. They are responsible for clinical quality improvements, patient safety improvements, regulatory compliance, risk management, infection control, and credentialing leadership development. Responsibilities: Set shared goals for quality program with Oncology Services senior leadership and Oncology Advisory Council. Reports progress as requested. Facilitates effective communication with Oncology Services leadership regarding key clinical performance improvement activities and initiatives related to quality Continuously monitors and evaluates quality outcomes and appropriateness of patient care throughout Oncology Services: identifying opportunities to improve outcomes; assist in facilitating overall response to quality issues and incident reporting/management. Collaborate with market/division leadership, Division Physician Leaders, Oncology Advisory Council and Clinical Services Group to ensure healthcare regulatory and accreditation requirements are met within all facilities. Provides foundational quality framework assistance to the Oncology Services Leadership during new program development Facilitate development of overall knowledge and education of key quality indicators, metrics, benchmark data, and reporting systems and tools. Ensures development and implementation of appropriate accountability, reporting, and processes within facilities. Provides leadership to drive work for clinical improvement and service enhancement. Works with appropriate Clinical Services Group staff for clinical services, quality standards, risk, patient safety, and credentialing services. Monitors and communicates with Division and market Operations leadership regarding trends Identify best practices, standardize, and systematize evidence-based practices across the business line Motivate and develop successful multidisciplinary teams utilizing strong communication and educator skills; Develops and implements quality programs, initiatives, and improvement strategies to ensure consistency in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and other governmental requirements
Qualifications: Master's Degree in a health related field or equivalent experience required A minimum of 5-7 years of directly related experience required A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a leadership role within a Oncology program required RN licensure highly preferred About UsAt its founding in 1968, Nashville-based HCA was one of the nation's first hospital companies.
