Responsible for oversight of the benefits function and supervision and development of the benefits team. Ensures effective and legal administration of all agency benefit plans and programs including but not limited to health, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k), flexible spending plan, supplemental short-term disability, long-term disability, and tuition reimbursement. Maintains a comprehensive understanding/knowledge base of the key HR issues impacting the benefits area. Drafts agency-wide communications, various benefit materials and annual open enrollment newsletter.
Develops presentations and conducts orientation, training, and benefit educational sessions.
