Under the immediate supervision of the Program Manager, the BHETA Training Specialist will assist the program in achieving deliverables of the Katie A contract by performing a variety of duties in support of the day-to-day operations of the Katie A program including, but not limited to, the following: interpret and apply specific procedures in organizing, monitoring, and performing the operational or research activities of the program/project; facilitate the accomplishment of the work of the program/project organization through providing, obtaining, and/or coordinating information or services and integrating them with the functions of the program/project; perform research and prepare reports; monitor or mentor groups, and perform related duties; provide general support for Training Site operations; supporting trainers; tracking trainee registrations and attendance; data entry ? satisfaction survey database and ROD; and various on and off-site coordination tasks and preparation of all training materials.

Minimum Qualifications

Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Training, Psychology or related field and four years of progressively responsible experience in technical or administrative assignments.

Additional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to initiate, manage tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Ability to apply independent judgment, discretion, and initiative to address problems and develop solutions

Ability to perform a variety of moderate to complex clerical work assignments of a responsible and difficult nature involving the planning and organizing of the clerical work of a variety of subjects, programs or projects and requiring the selection and application of a comprehensive knowledge of a variety of policies, procedures, regulations, and precedents

Fluency in using standard office software packages for report preparation, presentation designs, and other work products as needed, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Thorough written and oral communication skills, including English grammar, spelling, and punctuation

Interact effectively with co-workers.

Understand and follow work rules and procedures

Ability to relate well to others within the Academy for Professional Excellence environment and those it serves

Highly motivated self-starter, with a high energy level and strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including English grammar, spelling, and punctuation

Well organized, ability to meet deadlines, detail oriented; possess good judgment, common sense, and critical thinking.

Preferred Education/Certifications

ADAAC CAS or CAADE Certification

Preferred Experience/Special Skills

Four years of progressively responsible experience in technical or administrative assignments

Two years of experience in an office or administrative environment

Two years of experience supporting events

Some experience in a training environment

Some experience working in the Behavioral Health System (county or contract)

Working Conditions

This position is a 40 hour a week position, with work hours falling within regular business hours. This position requires travel to training sites.

Live Scan clearance is required prior to hire.
