Description:
The Research Nurse assists in organizing and maintaining all research projects to completion according to Good Clinical Practice.

Research duties include:
Assist with IRB Submission
Maintain essential document binders
Communicate with Physician investigator and study sponsor
Patient and recruitment and screening
Assist with al study visits and required proceedures
Participate in monitoring visits
Complete source documents for data entry
Obtain and process speciment as required by protocol

Staff Nurse duties include:
Triage sick calls, RX refills
Discuss patient calls with Pulmonologist
Call back parent/patients with action plan
Maintain Cystic Fibrosis charts
Order/ arrange laboratory and radiology test for patients
Obtain insurance authorization (as needed)
Schedule proceedures
Work as a team member
Write letters as needed

Requirements:
Education/Training/Certification/Licensure:
All nurses need to be trained as on use of PFT equipment as back up to respiratory therapist. BA/BS/BSN degree preferred. Related experience may substitute for degree. Completion of Clinical experience in NLN accredited school preferred. Additional experience required based upon specific practice needs. Minimum one year pain management experience. 6 months to one year office experience. Current NJ Licensure, National Certification preferred; CCU certification; BLS required. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus .
