The Behavioral Health Services Clinician – Emergency Department (Clinician) is responsible for evaluating patients presenting to the AH Emergency Department requesting or requiring psychiatric evaluation. The Clinician is also responsible for obtaining insurance approval for inpatient behavioral health treatment, preparing documentation necessary for patient transfer, and maintaining administrative records related to emergency evaluations. Close collaboration with ED physician, psychiatrist on-call, and BHS inpatient unit. Frequent contact with law enforcement personnel, AH security, and ED RN staff. Contact with family members.

Minimum Education:
Master’s Degree in Social Work.

Required Certification/Registration:
