We are currently seeking a BIM Professional to join the team as a member of our growing Virtual Design and Construction division.

Established in 1960, McKinstry is a full-service design, build, operate and maintain (DBOM) firm with over 1,600 employees. This person will be responsible for:
Support/Coordination *
  • Responds to deadlines received by internal and external clients. *
  • Coordinates efficiently and effectively with clients and BIM/CADD Professionals to ensure the successful completion of assigned tasks. *
  • Consistently applies, maintains, and enforces current BIM standards. *
  • Performs relief and/or project duties and responsibilities such as back-up of other drafting personnel, field checking projects, or doing research.
Project Development/Design *
  • Works with BIM/CADD Professionals to further develop modeling or drafting skills and to learn more about building systems. *
  • Organizes the BIM environment and maintains all related documents. *
  • Develops and promotes practices to improve production efficiency and effectiveness via the customization of all BIM software platforms used. *
  • Maintains software deployments. *
  • Establishes a clear scope of work, hours budgeted, and deliverables each time an assignment is received.
Qualified candidates will possess the following: *
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred. *
  • Proficient in the latest version of AutoCAD MEP. *
  • Knowledge of the latest versions of RevitMEP and AutoCAD MEP. *
  • Knowledge of peripheral equipment, noted software and a working knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems. *
  • AA degree in construction management or related field required. *
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in BIM or in the construction industry required. *
  • One (1) year of experience in 3D/BIM modeling required.
