The Biomedical Equipment Technician is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. The Biomedical Equipment Technician will perform duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, the Joint Commission and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies. The Biomedical Equipment Tech is responsible for the calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of medical equipment in the facility. Duties also include, but are not limited to: performing daily rounds, documenting work orders, ordering parts, researching equipment history, and performing vendor management. One year experience as a Biomed Tech required. High School diploma or equivalent technical training. Must obtain associates degree or ICC Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician certification within 7 years of hire. Experience with preventative maintenance and repairs with Baxter, Hospira infusion pumps and Zoll Defibrillators. To perform at this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform PC repairs and demonstrate an understanding of networking principles and project management skills.
