Under general supervision, this position serves as process management and workflow technical lead in strategic and tactical oversight and planning of business process models and development using Business Process Management (BPM) technology. Incumbent will serve as liaison for Process Innovation and Excellence (PIE), and work closely with business process subject matter experts to gather requirements. Incumbent will advise business units and PIE staff related to BPM concepts and best practices. Incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement technical applications that provide effective business solutions for clients.
Incumbent will also support full lifecycle of BPM solution delivery from process design (including modeling and development of business processes) through Implementation, configuration, custom scripting, and application development within BPM systems environment.
Serve as technical liaison to business units, providing BPM best practices, system analysis, research, and support
Provide thought leadership to fellow team members in matrix environment and to customers across business and technical project dimensions, solving complex business requirements; This includes scope definition, requirements analysis, and functional and technical design
Analyze current processes and recommended future-state process models using BPM best practices, with goal to enhance business processes, improve user productivity, and streamline data integration with third-party service providers
Provide technical direction and leadership to project implementation teams; guide internal and external resources in completion of project responsibilities and ensure that established policies and procedures are followed
Provide and maintain user, systems, and operations documentation and provide management reports showing system availability, usage, and capacity

Partner with BPM Administrator to ensure consistency of BPM methodologies, procedures, processes, and workflows

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in Information Technology required.
Experience: Three (3) years demonstrated analyst experience using modeling languages, technical product lifecycle concepts, and requirement engineering, among other applied skills and knowledge. Five (5) years Software Development experience, with three (3) years process architect/designer experience. Four (4) years experience with BPM/Workflow-based products required, preference being familiarity with Metastorm, Open Text, or Global 360 applications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working knowledge of Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, or BPM methodologies required
Experience developing database connectivity, including ODBC and JDBC required
Experience developing and modifying process/BPM models
Experience integrating distributed Applications and services including .Net, J2EE, and Client/Server Applications
Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats and give presentations utilizing various audiovisual support aids
Ability to manage multiple projects, work in fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
Demonstrated excellent reasoning, analytical, and quantitative skills
Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in making decisions; Ability to work independently with strong motivational skills and initiative to meet job expectations
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation computer software applications
Ability to travel as needed to successfully perform position responsibilities
