Bryan, Pendleton, Swats & McAllister, LLC (BPS&M) is a wholly owned employee benefits consulting firm that has been assisting plan sponsors for more than 40 years. Headquartered in Nashville, TN, with offices in; Louisville, Kentucky; Jackson, Mississippi; and Richmond, Virginia, BPS&M serves more than 1,000 clients nationwide, and provides a full range of consulting services focused on the design, implementation, and administration of retirement plans, health and welfare programs, and non-qualified deferred compensation. Our clients are located throughout the United States.
Job overview: This senior leader is responsible for leading all areas of BPS&M. The firm employs 120 team members who provide consulting services to corporate clients, non-profits and state/ local entities. These consulting services include actuarial services for pension and health and welfare plans, regulatory compliance assistance and, retirement plan design and complex administrative projects.
The National Manager manages the oversight of the business including finance, accounting, marketing, technology, technical research and human resources. Recruiting new team members and promoting a culture of learning is critical to ensure that industry designations and coursework is completed. Designations and exams include those from American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA), Society of Actuaries (SOA), and Certified Employee Benefit Services (CEBS). The National manager is responsible for the overall profitability of the business, including pricing, revenue and billing goals, new client engagements, forecasting. BPSM s annual revenue in 2012 was $23.2 million. The national manager leads the strategic planning, and works across the enterprise to cultivate relationships with relationship management, sales and partner groups across IRT, WBR and the wholesale banking group

Basic Qualifications

15+ years employee benefits experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:
15+ years of employee benefit experience both as a practitioner and manager.
10+ years of managing managers.
Exceptional presentation skills and demonstrated ability to interact with executive leadership and client executives.
Consistent track record of success leading, coaching, developing and retaining team members.
Documented success in assembling teams and executing strategic initiatives through matrix and/or shared resources.
Proven ability of collaborative skills capable of building enterprise-wide partnerships.

Preferred Skills

Strongly Preferred:
Bachelor s degree.
Experience in a successful leadership role at a professional services firm.
Strong professional credentials: Actuary, legal, consulting.
Sales and/or client service experience.
Ability to collaborate and build relationships with a variety of internal and external constituents.
