Job Summary:
This position is responsible for sales of integrated BSS products and services. The Account Manager is in charge of generating an assigned amount of revenue from a specific territory or vertical market segment (VMS). Their primary responsibility is to sell Company products and services to new and existing customers within the assigned territory or VMS. Additional responsibilities include increasing market awareness of KRATOS capabilities and services, integration expertise, prospecting for sales opportunities and maintenance and development of customer base within the assigned VMS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Be accountable for all activity in the territory or VMS, primarily focusing on identifying new business opportunities and acquiring new business for the company.

Develop and Implement prospecting and marketing/sales campaigns within territory or VMS. This is to include demonstrations, seminars to potential end-users, contractors and the engineering community.

Work together, as necessary with the Sales Team, in a way that generates maximum profit and revenue from the assigned territory.

Maintain a current knowledge base of products. This includes manufacturer training sessions. Keep current and trained on all KRATOS SOUTHWEST product offering.

Exceed quota.

Take off, estimate and bid projects. Ensure accurate pricing based on guidelines established for department through budgeting, estimating and pre-determined profit levels.

Complete project proposals and/or bids

Prepare a detailed scope of work for each project and review project requirements with Project Management through established project turnover guidelines. Provide the required coordination with owner, contractor and operations manager. This coordination will include negotiation of project contracts and agreements.

Ensure that long term customer relationships are created by providing value added services

Provide call reports and quote logs on weekly basis and in accordance with needs of management for review.

Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closing, follow up and adherence to sales goals.

Negotiate contracts and agreements.

Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Other Qualifications:
Associate/Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 3 to 5 years sales and marketing experience.

Awareness and knowledge of the building automation, electronic security, and wireless networking market and opportunities within the assigned territory or VMS, major customers and users, market competitors.

Memberships and participation in area business networks and trade associations/organizations within the territory or VMS.

Local industry Awareness and knowledge of major projects being planned or occurring within the territory or VMS.

Competitive knowledge of all territory or VMS competitors, their markets, positioning, product offerings and pricing strategies.

Sell Products, service and systems within the specified margin requirements of the Branch.
