Job Summary

Reporting to the SVP, BTS Chief Financial Officer, and responsible for providing key strategic analytical advice on business cases justification for firm wide investments in Infrastructure for Technology Group (ITG), Operations and Customer Group (OCSG) and Business Transformation Group (BTG). This individual will act as the finance lead for BTS benchmarking initiatives and unit costing metrics, for driving operational decision making by senior management. This role requires strong knowledge of Infrastructure Technology and Operations/Customer Service and the ability to drive financial clarity and discipline in both tactical and strategic decisions. This person will serve in a key senior level finance role that provides leadership support for the Bank Technology and Services division (BTS).

Responsibilities

Responsible for all financial aspects of the following:
Business Measurement and Reporting - this individual will be responsible for delivering consistent, actionable information through a disciplined end to end process for the enterprise. Advises management on actions required.

Planning and forecasting - leads development of credible and actionable plans that enable businesses to meet customer associate and shareholder goals.

Strategic Advisor - responsible for acting as a key advisor for business leaders in setting targets, developing strategy and identifying opportunities through analytics, evaluating risks, taking actions and making investments.

Financial Performance - this person will be responsible for providing financial expertise on recommendations for efficient use of expenses and capital. Ensure integrity in processes.

May be assigned staff to supervise; if assigned, duties include hiring , terminations, recommending salary changes, job promotions, setting work hours, conducting counseling/performance reviews and planning of staff 's work. Establish and provide the processes and tools for staff / associates to achieve professional excellence and personal growth, align associate roles. Measures, processes and provide rewards/recognition to staff that meet and support the Bank's goals.

Key Responsibilities

Assess business purpose of technology and operations spend by assessing value proposition of proposed initiatives with related financial implications.

Lead all aspects of financial due diligence and negotiation for major sourcing deals, acquisitions and divestitures.

Establish metrics and reporting structure that provides robust cost transparency to business partners and customers.

Provide thorough analytical support on financial projections, capital investments and business strategies.

Lead in-depth vendor analysis for strategic vendors and assess opportunity to leverage new products, services and operating model.

Design Fixed vs. Variable model for operational expenses and internal cost transfer.

Lead all aspects of financial analysis for BTS as part of integrated capital forecasting

Qualifications

10+ years of direct experience in Finance, including work experience in advanced financial modeling; Accounting or Finance degree is required, or demonstrated work that shows the level of experience required.

Strong proven critical thinking, analytical and interpersonal skills; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. The successful candidate will possess strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; an ability to work in a team environment and across functional groups.

CPA or MBA preferred with 10+ years of Finance experience; Technology Finance and/or Operations experience preferred with a strong bias for action.

Must be results oriented with an ability to meet tight deadlines; Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into tactical plans.

This individual must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and partner across organizational or functional boundaries; ability to influence others. Process focused and team oriented.
