The Business Development Representative will report to the Director of Business Development and will be responsible for lead development and qualification activities that will increase the pipeline, effectiveness, and productivity of the Business Development Consultant team. The individual will be responsible for creating and managing prospect lists, proactively calling individuals in Runzheimer target markets, presenting a high level overview of Runzheimer’s Total Employee Mobility solutions, and setting sales appointments for the BDC team. The individual will work closely with BDCs and the Marketing team to coordinate territory strategies and execution of mailings, and will deliver exceptional customer communications. Candidates need to be tenacious, persistent, enthusiastic, and create an excellent first impression of Runzheimer to potential clients through prospect calling.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and articulate a comprehensive understanding of Runzheimer’s product offerings and their relationship to a client’s critical business initiatives.

Execute regular fast paced communications with prospects interested in Runzheimer solutions.

Maintain a schedule of daily outbound calls to individual in target markets with the goal of creating interest in Runzheimer solutions, and setting qualified sales appointments for outside BDCs.

Work collaboratively with a distributed field sales team, sharing and modifying company-wide prospecting goals with locally-nuanced needs.

Provide feedback and recommendations to marketing and product management based on direct experiences with prospects for product improvements.

Provide accurate and timely reports including daily calls made and call outcomes.

Maintain and update CRM database (currently, SalesLogix)

Required Skills

Required Experience

Must reside in the greater Milwaukee/Northern Illinois area (working five days per week in the Runzheimer corporate office in Waterford, WI)

A four year college degree or equivalent, preferably in business or communication.

Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales/sales support experience

Online research experience with several business information tools (Hoovers, LinkedIn, etc.)

Strong orientation to achieve success

Experience with a CRM system, preferable with SalesLogix CRM

PC literate with experience and efficiency with MS Office (espc. Excel, Outlook, and Word), and the Internet

Prior experience with Software as a Service, Travel, Relocation, or Financial solutions a plus.
