The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is currently seeking an experienced individual to analyze system performance, identify issues and recommend solutions related to system functions, analyze, design/administer databases, and provide technical support to internal as well as client agency personnel. Required Education and Experience (must be met by 11/27/2012 ) Education : A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, finance, computer/management information systemsor a field related to the knowledge and abilities requirements of this classification, from an institution of higher learning accredited by a regional accreditation organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Experience : Four years of experience performing analytical and technical work in a lead capacity, in support of business and/or financial information systems. Selection Process Candidates who meet the minimum requirements will be invited to participate in an examination consisting of Training and Experience (T&E) Evaluation and Technical Oral Interview. A panel of subject matter experts, as part of the T&E Evaluation, will rate the responses to the supplemental application questions. Candidates do not need to be present for the T&E Evaluation. The T&E evaluation is tentatively scheduled during the month of December 2012. Successful candidates will advance to a Technical Oral Interview tentatively scheduled during the month of January 2013. Candidates who pass all exam parts are ranked according to overall exam score and placed on an eligibility (hiring) list. Vacant positions are filled from the top three ranks.
