Bakery Applications Technologist

Qualifications:
  • BS/MS Food Science
  • 7 years technical bakery experience and demonstrated record of accomplishments in bakery applications
  • Experience developing breads, cakes, and cookies in the food industry
  • Expertise in Bakery Science
  • Thorough understanding of ingredients and their functionality in bakery goods including flavors, enzymes, and emulsifiers.
  • Hands-on experience in process technology and bakery operations
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Customer interaction skills
Duties:
  • Grow applications of product lines
  • Provide customer base with technical support
  • Support customer needs, design, formulate and test new bakery products
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal disciplines
  • Establish positive rapport with customers
  • Support Sales by managing product demos and projects
  • Engage with key customers on special projects
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to define opportunities and target markets
  • 40% travel required
  • Oversee design and preparation of product concepts for trade shows and customer presentations
  • Maintain and document project requests and results
  • Recommend and evaluate new concepts in lab design and improvement
  • Assist in new product development efforts
