This position is responsible for referring files to our designated bankruptcy attorney network for accounts in which the borrower has filed bankruptcy. Ensuring procedural documentation is filed and completed in accordance with federal/state, investor/insurer and company requirements/guidelines. Monitor and maintain accurate information on loans, guide loans through the default process, ensure minimal turn-around time and expected timelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Copy required loan documents to prepare and refer files to bankruptcy attorney;
•Prepare reinstatement and payoff quotes as required or requested;
•Prepare figures to file Proof of Claim ;
•Respond timely and accurately to all attorney requests;
•Ensures full compliance with loan bankruptcy regulations. Monitors accounts throughout the loan bankruptcy process and contacts appropriate party when necessary;
•Assist with bankruptcy projects as needed;
•Complete detail research/account auditing as necessary;
•Management of any documents required during the bankruptcy process including execution of affidavits; and the review and management of bankruptcy litigation matters;
•Ensure all actions comply with investor/IBERIABANK/insurer approved timeframes and procedures;
• Provide quality customer service to all external parties involved in the bankruptcy, responding either verbally or in writing when required and resolving any issues or complaints in a timely manner and ensuring scrupulous documentation of the system;
•Perform tasks in work queues and work on exception reports on a regular basis;
•Monitor and manage the vendor/attorneys to ensure they are complying with all IBERIABANK procedures and the investor/IBERIABANK timeframes;
•Ability to read and translate payment histories;
• Review reports and identify loans that require attention and make the necessary corrections;
•Identify potential problems and communicate to management timely;
•Review and/or prepare accurate bankruptcy posting ledgers for attorneys;
•Assist management in quality assurance with vendor relationships to ensure quality of service and to ensure departmental goals are met;
•Monitor post and pre-petition payments; and
•Other duties or projects as assigned by Management

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE - High school diploma and one to two years of default or bankruptcy experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
