This position is responsible for the set-up, maintenance and take down of banquet areas according to function specifications. Providing the transportation and set-up of tables, chairs, staging, audio-visual and electrical equipment. Stocks necessary supplies and performs basic banquet area cleaning duties. Follows CSM high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.
1. Guest Service: Ensures each room set up is accurate and meets the clients’ specifications. Works as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments when necessary. Understands and follow CSM guest service recovery program.
2. Cost Control: Responsible for proper use of all equipment and adheres to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
3. Safety/Risk Management: Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with CSM, brand, local, state and federal regulations. Handles food and beverages in accordance with CSM, local and state regulations. Follows all CSM procedures for guest/associate incidents. Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
4. Self Management: Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties. Adheres to CSM attendance policy, grooming/appearance standards, general work rules, and department procedures. Attends all required department and hotel meetings.
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in a repetitious and fast paced environment.
Physical: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds consistently throughout shift.
