Job Description

This position ensures service standards are met and surpassed by creating the Starbucks Experience for customers by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.

The Key Responsibilities for the ideal candidate are:
Develops Enthusiastically Satisfied Customers all of the time
Delivers legendary service to all customers by acting with a "customer comes first" attitude and connecting with the customer. Responds to customer needs and says thank you to every customer.
Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues. Discover customer needs and appropriately suggests product with every customer to enhance service and meet your sales goals.
Assists customers in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages and whole bean sales (as applicable).
Maintains customer service area and equipment in a clean and appealing manner.
Demonstrates "Just Say Yes" behavior when taking care of customer needs.
We are looking for Part-Time and Full-Time availability.

Requirements

Candidate must have a positive attitude and be guest oriented.
Must possess a passion for providing legendary customer service.
Must maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards at all times.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(English) used in the workplace.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must possess basic computational ability.
Must be able to exert well-paced mobility in limited space.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
High school or equivalent education required.
Previous experience with Micros POS system is an asset.
Previous cash handling experience would be an asset.
Previous Starbucks experience would be an asset.
One year of high volume customer service required

The candidate must possess eligible paperwork to legally work in Canada. The Westin Calgary is unable to hire foreign workers without current valid work permits, nor can we obtain LMO's (Labor Market Opinions)
