The Bartender provides both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to residents and guests in a pleasant and clean environment in accordance with Brookdale standards.

Key responsibilities include:

*Maintaining knowledge of making different types of alcoholic drinks
*Conducting inventory of necessary supplies
*Ordering liquor, other beverages, and supplies as needed
*Maintaining appropriate levels of ingredients and supplies
*Charging residents and guests for drinks via a cash register or property billing system
*Keeping bar and lounge area clean and sanitary
*Assisting with set-up of special events
*Following departmental procedures including sanitation and safety and cleaning schedules
*Responding quickly to resident and guest requests - Interacting with guests to ensure their satisfaction
*Ensuring that drinks are poured and residents’ orders are taken and fulfilled promptly and accurately
*Returning beverages that do not meet quality standards
*Responding to community issues or concerns that may occur
*Striveing to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices

We seek the following qualifications:

*High school diploma or general education degree (GED);one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
*Must be 21 years of age or older
*Must obtain/hold any local, state and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.
