Job Title: Behavior Specialist/Behavior Support Assistant
(title will be dependant on experience/education)
Hours of Work:
Full time- 37.5 hours
Some travel required
Education and Experience:
Behavior Specialist: Master's Degree in a field of Psychology and 1 year of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities
Behavior Support Assistant: Bachelors Degree in Psychology required and 1 year of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities
Valid NYS driver's license required (both positions)
Experience working with individuals with autism preferred (both positions)

Duties & Responsibilities
The overall duties center around providing behavioral supports to individuals along with providing training and instruction:
Provide Psychological/Behavioral supports to individuals in programs, maintaining compliance with Department and Agency policy/procedure, State, local, and Federal regulations.
Record and maintain individual's behavioral records in compliance with all department and agency policies/procedures as well as all state, local, and federal regulations.
Provide behavioral training to agency personnel to include, orientation in home and work site.
Communication that is appropriate, accurate and timely.
Caseload coverage as assigned
Pursue personal/professional development and attend mandated agency training as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $40,000-45,000/year + benefits (Master's degree)
$32,900-37,000/year + benefits (Bachelor's degree)
