Works as a member of a mobile crisis team providing services to persons with a developmental disability. Assesses current crisis, identifies behaviors associated with the crisis and works in conjunction/consultation with other professionals and paraprofessional to identify supports needed.

Act as client advocate in order to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations

Provides direct services in a variety of settings including providing immediate mobile crisis intervention services, in home supports and out of home supports/crisis support home

Provides assistance, training and technical assistance to consumer’s natural supports

Conducts an analysis of behaviors in a crisis situation with an emphasis on conducting a functional analysis of the situation

Maintains confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment

Monitors, evaluates, and records client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan

Prepares and maintains all required treatment records and reports

Minimum Training & Experience: Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, rehab counseling or closely related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of related experience (designing individualized treatment programming; monitoring and observing behavior; collecting and recording behavioral observations in a treatment setting; developing and implementing behavior management plans; assisting with the administration and scoring of intelligence, personality and/or achievement and skills tests).
Master's degree in psychology, school psychology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
One year at the Behavioral Health/Counselor, Entry Level or equivalent position.

Agency Specific Qualifications and/or Preferred Qualifications: Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, course work in behavioral assessment and behavior change and experience in the assessment of behaviors and the design and or implementation of behavior change programs. One year experience in providing behavioral services to individuals with developmental disabilities with an emphasis on principles of applied behavior analysis.
