Job Description:
Raytheon is supporting a proprietary customer contract for delivering technical support to customer management and providing resources for the technical services required to enable customer mission accomplishment.
In support of the customer’s strategic direction, Raytheon is looking for key individuals who can support the development of new and innovative technologies and techniques.
An expert in human behavior is needed to support the customer team.
This position will assist operational and tactical staffs with applying behavioral science knowledge and research to facilitate effective Counterintelligence (CI) operations. The successful behavioral scientist will be able to analyze anomalous behavior in order to estimate the risk of insider threat activity within of human networks. CI pattern analysis typically includes:
Behavioral, spatial, or temporal modeling analysis
Risk analysis
Statistical analysis
Assessment and forecasting methodologies
Typical duties include providing expert support, analysis and research into complex problems while working as a member of a team. Team will produce products that require a complete understanding of insider threat behavior and anomalous pattern analysis.
Responsibilities:

Assists in building behavioral triggers and models for early and holistic insider threat detection
·
Analyze anomalies for insider threat risk
·
Conduct interviews and prepare reports
·
Assists with the preparation of reports and CI products
·
Assists with the training of CI officers and analysts on behavioral patterns of the insider threat
·
Consult to personnel security, to include polygraphers, adjudicators and personnel security investigators
·
Support to CI inquiries/ investigative process
·
Conduct literature reviews on mission-related topics & apply to the operational setting
·
Attend training in the field of study to maintain expertise & license
·
May assist in development of study methodology
·
Performs basic behavioral science research and data analysis
·
All other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be professionally licensed
·
Extensive knowledge of the insider threat problem, the empirical research conducted in this area, and a least a basic knowledge of research design and statistical analysis.
·
Experience and ability to instruct analysts/ data modelers in the understanding of personal motivations, potential for the manipulation of vulnerabilities, understanding of the target’s worldview, communication style, and suitability for recruitment.

Has a deep understanding and application experience of Behavioral or Cognitive Decision Making Process, and Decision Tree Analysis methodological tools, and analytical processes

Has knowledge of current HUMINT/CI collection operations methodologies and practices.
·
Has experience in training and providing quality instruction in a classroom environment
·
Currently possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
Required Education (including Major):
Doctoral degree in their respective behavioral science field (e.g. Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or Decision Making Science).
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience or equivalent education and experience.
