Supervises Bellman engaged in duties such as control of lobby check-ins and check-outs, monitor tour groups, arrivals and departures, and make necessary arrangements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assign bellman to specific tasks.
Maintain proper staffing at all times for bellmen.
Monitor complete control of bell carts & concierge phones at all times.
Keep control of motor lobby check-in/check-outs.
Assign bellman to assist doorman when needed.
Greet all guests and assist them with dinner reservations, tours and available attractions.
Must be knowledgeable of restaurants, tourist attractions and available tours for our guests.
Must have a good working relationship with restaurants and other hotel staff members.
Ability to effectively communicate via telephone with guests.
Maintain tourist information items; and baggage claim checks and bellman tip cards.

Education and/or Experience
Ï High school degree required.
Ï Minimum one year previous hotel bell captain experience required.
Ï Previous supervisor experience required.
Ï Must be able to effectively communicate in English; bilingual preferred.
Ï Must be able to lift, push, pull and / or carry 100lbs or more.
Ï Must be able to transport luggage / packages over an 8 hour shift.
Ï Must possess the ability to remain calm in a stressful or fast paced environment.
Ï Must be computer literate.
Ï Must have knowledge of local attractions and restaurants (Florida - Miami Area)
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
