R3 (Redistribution) - R3 is a business segment that delivers the best, most efficient solutions to support the growth and profitability of our business customers. The markets serviced by R3 include foodservice (serving restaurants, hotels and airlines), janitorial/sanitation, industrial/safety and medical/surgical distributors.

Processor - Bunzl's Processor Division provides the protein and food processing industry with an extensive array of maintenance, operating, and employee supplies. We stock more than 25,000 food processing and plant operating items to help our customers meet their business needs.

Retail - Bunzl Distribution provides outsourcing services and distribution to some of North America's leading retailers. We primarily provide store operating supplies like boxes and wrap, as well as retail carry-out bags and other goods for resale.

Convenience Store - Bunzl is a leading provider of operating supplies and retail goods to convenience store wholesalers and retailers. We offer more than 3,000 products to this market, including paper products, soap, and sanitation and cleaning supplies.

Safety - R3 Safety is America's only true logistics redistributor of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) products. We provide service to distributors in the construction, industrial, hardware, jan/san, rental, electrical, safety and welding markets throughout the United States and Canada.

Janitorial/Sanitation - Bunzl is a leading distributor of janitorial/sanitation products selling a general housekeeping line, laundry items, floor equipment, soaps, chemicals and equipment servicing healthcare facilities, retail companies, and miscellaneous commercial industries.

The Benefits Administrator position is responsible for day-to-day administrative operations of group benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plan, 401(k) plan and retirement plan).

Responsibilities:
401(k) Administration including: weekly contribution, hardship withdrawal processing, report

Create and run Vanguard 401(k) RMD report; auto cash-outs

401(k) contributions for groups participating in a CBA

401(k) percentage change effective date calendar

Run ESPP Disqualifying Disposition reports

Create ESPP Contribution Calendar

ESPP contributions (run reports, reconcile and update with 3rd party administrator)

Pension calculations, correspondence, and Age 65 notifications

Pension Database management to include relative values and entries of values

PHI (Private Health Information) issue resolutions

COBRA Processing (initial notices, election packets, HIPPA COCC’s)

All vendor exports and review of error reports

Leave Of Absence benefit payment letters and payment receipts

Employee first anniversary reports and mailings of new eligible benefits

Support open enrollment with administrative duties and/or conduct presentations

Field questions from the Regional HR group

Reception desk support

the Cigna VitaMin newsletter and the EAP newsletter on a monthly basis

Perform moderately complex and routine tasks associated with the administration of the following employee benefit plans: health care & prescription drug, dental plan, vision plan, HCRA/DCRA, group life, short term disability, long term disability and accidental death & dismemberment

First line of response for region HR regarding routine and non-routine issues such as claim problems, enrollment, interpretation of plan provisions, lost ID cards, eligibility status changes (marriage, death, divorce, birth, etc.) requests for phone numbers, and websites

Assist with administration of the 401K Deferred Savings Plan, including, but not limited to: working with service vendor to resolve participant issues, maintaining 401K files, and handling weekly 401K contribution reconciliation and remittance

Assist with administration of Employee Stock Purchase Plan including reconciliation and remittance of contributions

Support the administration of the Defined Benefit Retirement Plan, including, but not limited to: providing pension calculations, communicating with service provider, and assisting field HR and employees with paperwork completion

Interact with service providers to proactively identify problems and issues and work to resolve and preserve data integrity

Support annual enrollment process

Ensure that benefit plans are administered according to plan documents and governmental regulations

Assist with special projects as assigned

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred

Two to five years related benefits or employee benefit administration experience preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills are required

Project management skills and experience

Ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates

Capability of effective planning and priority setting, while being flexible

Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines

Strong analytical skills

Ability to understand, evaluate and make sound decisions

Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Cognos are required

Determine proper course of action to resolve escalated employee issues

Interpret plan procedures and policies; recommend benefit enhancements and changes, and process simplification

The ability to work as a team with Regional Human Resources, Actuary, Accounting, Legal, on benefits issues

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with insurance companies, drug companies, attorneys, third party administrators, other benefits vendors and outside consultants

Desire to work in a fast changing landscape of Employee Benefits

Have the ability to maintain confidentiality with all information is a must
