DESCRIPTION

The Benefit Communication Specialist (BCS) role is the core of our business. Our BCS employees works 100% on location with our client effectively communicate and enroll employer-sponsored group and supplemental benefits (i.e., medical, dental, life, disability, critical illness, etc.).

DUTIES

The BCS is responsible for scheduling, conducting, and tracking individual personalized benefit review sessions to ensure that each employee has a good understanding of their financial risks and benefit options available to them. The BCS will also complete administrative duties including processing benefit enrollments and accept inbound calls and walk-ins from employees to assist with benefit questions. This position will also serve as an assistant to the Director of the Human Resource Department, at times.Enrolling employees into supplemental benefit programs is an essential function of this position. Our philosophy is that enrollments are best accomplished by spending quality time educating the employee using our proprietary communication process. The successful candidate must be willing to learn, apply, and consistently execute all the responsibilities of the position with minimal day-to-day supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in related field strongly preferredStrong communication skills (professional, polished, personable)Prior experience with employer-sponsored insurance benefitsAbility to assess a situation and problem-solve resulting in positive outcomesHighly self-motivated and results drivenStrong work ethicHigh level of integrityProficiency in MS Office applications (Word and Excel)Strong organizational skillsAbility to multi-task The selected candidate will be required to obtain a Life and Health Insurance Agent/Producer License.
