R esponsibilities
  • Responsible for detailed review and validation of member utilization of childcare benefits, payments to service providers and system entry of such transactions and processes in accordance with Funds’ guidelines
  • Process service provider billing, which includes reviewing bills for accuracy and proper documentation, inputting transactions and program changes into the co-pay or reconciliation module; submit bills to Manager or Assistant Manager for approval prior to transmittal to Finance Department for payment
  • Review and process reimbursements for payment to members or providers, input transactions and record payments
  • Maintain statistical data on benefit payments and develop reports and summaries as requested
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with vendors and members in a clear and effective manner with good judgment, tact and discretion
  • Data enter and reconcile member co-payments and upgrade benefit status; prepare billing and cash receipts report for transmittal to Finance Department
  • Receive, sort and process status letters from Fund participants; maintain service provider, vendor and member files
  • Screen and handle inbound calls, in-person visits or e-mail inquiries regarding child care benefits, co-payment issues and benefit changes
  • Respond and follow up with members regarding co-payments for programs, outstanding balances and vendor disputes
  • Assist with member registration and other related Fund events and programs
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management

Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent years of experience required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred; plus
  • Minimum two (2) years clerical experience in a general office environment required;
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word preferred; knowledge of CRM databases (i.e. KIDS) a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with proven comfort and experience at interacting with members, vendors and providers; professional manner and presentation required
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, work well under pressure and independently; great follow up skills and attitude
  • Excellent analytical and fact-based problem solving skills; must exercise good judgment
  • Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality
